We shall now evaluate our patient's peripheral arterial pulses. The brachial arterial pulses are brisk and equal in both arms. The femoral pulses are significantly decreased in amplitude and delayed in comparison to the carotid pulse.

This is a graphic representation of the carotid and femoral artery pulses in our patient. The femoral artery pulses bilaterally are delayed and diminished with a slow upstroke.
