Your choice: Renal artery stenosis, aortic valve stenosis and aortic regurgitation

Renal artery stenosis produces systemic hypertension by a mechanism analogous to that of coarctation of the aorta. Decreased pulse pressure in the affected kidney distal to the obstruction stimulates renin production. It does not cause higher systolic pressure in the arms than in the legs, however. Its association with a bicuspid aortic valve would be coincidental
