Management - Management and Follow-Up

Innocent murmurs occur in most normal infants and children. It is important to emphasize that the examiner can expect this finding on auscultation in this age group. It requires no therapeutic or management intervention. The parents and, depending upon the age, the patient, deserve reassurance of the normality of the finding.

The patient should be followed and cared for as you would any normal individual, including unrestricted exercise, indicated immunizations and periodic cardiac risk factors assessment.
