Right Ventricular Hypertrophy

This electrocardiogram shows right ventricular hypertrophy.
The characteristic features of right ventricular hypertrophy demonstrated here include right axis deviation of the QRS.
Tall 100% R waves in V1; and deep S waves in left precordial leads.
Note the rapid transition from 100% R waves in V1 to almost equiphasic RS complexes in V2.
This pattern typifies right ventricular hypertrophy in the presence of equal systolic pressures in the right and left ventricles, as found in tetralogy of Fallot.
