Non-specific T wave abnormalities

This electrocardiogram shows non-specific T wave abnormalities, a term that applies to T wave variations that are abnormal but do not suggest a specific diagnosis. The characteristic features demonstrated here include the flat-to-inverted T waves in leads II, III, aVF and V6. Such non-specific T wave changes may be found in patients with mitral valve prolapse, but are not pathognomonic of this condition and commonly the electrocardiogram is normal.
