Premature Ectopic Heart Beats, Chest Pain, Murmur

Premature heart beats are suggested by the history of non-sustained "flip-flop" or skipping sensations.

The patient has chest pain and a murmur in addition to her palpitations. The chest pain is not angina pectoris, because it is fleeting and non-exertional. A history of a murmur is common in young adults. Further evaluation will be needed to determine the clinical significance of these historical features.
