Let us now review junctional and ventricular escape rhythms, which may occur in two scenarios. We have just learned that escape rhythms are associated with complete AV block. They also are commonly seen as a response to either slowing or absence of a more proximal pacemaker, e.g. sinus arrest with an escape rhythm. We have just seen an example of a ventricular escape rhythm, and now let us see another example of escape rhythm.
