Sinus arrhythmia
Sinus arrhythmia is characterized by sinus P waves preceding each QRS with a cyclic variation of rate. It frequently is respiration related. Its presence typically identifies a healthy autonomic nervous system. If seen without respiratory variation, this can signify a sick sino-atrial node, among other causes. The following animation illustrates what we have just described.
