You are incorrect - the best interpretation of our patient's rhythm strip is multiple premature ventricular complexes.

Your choice: Premature junctional complexes
This rhythm strip shows sinus rhythm with premature junctional complexes (PJCs). The characteristic features demonstrated here include an underlying regular rhythm with normal P waves preceding the on time QRS complexes. Two premature QRS complexes whose morphology is similar to that of the conducted QRS complexes with no preceding P waves.

Premature junctional complexes per se do not identify heart disease and, like most premature beats, are most often benign.
